  • DAY 1: FEZ TO MIDELT

Today marks the beginning of our journey as we depart from the vibrant city of Fez. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the picturesque drive through the captivating landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Marvel at the stunning Moroccan vistas as we traverse through an alpine wonderland adorned with towering pine trees and serene mountain settings.

Our first stop is in the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” renowned for its European-style architecture and lush greenery. Continuing our journey, we venture to Azrou, where you’ll have the opportunity to observe Barbary apes in their natural habitat and witness the nomadic shepherds tending to their flocks amidst the breathtaking scenery.

As we journey through the scenic Mid-Atlas region, take in the beauty of the landscape and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings. We’ll break for an independent lunch in Midelt, a picturesque town nestled amidst the mountains, where we’ll spend the night, allowing you to unwind and rejuvenate after a day of exploration.

  • DAY 2: MIDELT TO MERZOUGA DESERT

After a restful night in Midelt, we continue our adventure towards the enchanting Sahara Desert. Crossing the Ziz River and passing through a series of fortified villages crafted from clay, we journey towards Erfoud and Rissani, immersing ourselves in the rich cultural tapestry of the region.

Our destination is the awe-inspiring Erg Chebbi dunes near the remote town of Merzouga, where the towering sand dunes beckon with their remarkable height and size, some reaching up to 150 meters. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to camels and embark on a captivating trek into the heart of the Sahara, where a Berber Camp awaits amidst the golden sands.

Tonight, indulge in a sumptuous local meal, accompanied by traditional music, and immerse yourself in the magic of the desert as you spend the night under the Saharan stars in a comfortable Berber tent.

  • DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT EXPLORATION

Awaken to the serene beauty of the Sahara Desert as we embark on a day of exploration and discovery. Dive into the breathtaking sand dunes of Merzouga, renowned for their spectacular beauty, and experience the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing rhythms of Gnaoua spiritual music, performed live amidst the tranquil desert setting. Visit nomadic families in their tents, sharing authentic moments and gaining insight into their traditional way of life.

Discover ancient fossilized animals embedded in rocks and explore the historic city of Rissani, home to an authentic souk and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Sherif. Indulge in the flavors of Berber pizza for lunch before returning to the comfort of the Kasbah to relax and shower.

In the afternoon, visit a Berber family and, if you missed it the previous day, witness the stunning Saharan sunset casting a golden glow over the desert landscape. Spend the night in comfortable Sahara desert lodging in Merzouga, reflecting on the day’s unforgettable experiences.

  • DAY 4: MERZOUGA TO DADES VALLEY

Bid farewell to the desert as we journey towards Todgha Gorges, a majestic natural wonder characterized by towering limestone cliffs and a winding river. Explore the depths and heights of the gorge, marveling at its changing colors as the sun dances across the sky.

Continuing our journey, we venture into the verdant Dades Valley, adorned with lush greenery, colorful fruit trees, and striking red rock formations. Spend the night in Dades, enveloped in the tranquility of the valley, as you reflect on the day’s adventures amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of the region.

  • DAY 5: DADES VALLEY TO OUARZAZATE

Our journey continues as we travel to the enchanting Valley of Roses via the scenic Route of 1000 Kasbahs, where ancient fortresses dot the landscape, offering a glimpse into Morocco’s rich history and architectural heritage.

Explore El-Kalaa M’gouna, renowned for its blooming roses, used in various body care products, before proceeding to Skoura to visit the local kasbah and enjoy lunch amidst the picturesque surroundings.

Our route takes us to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” home to the legendary Atlas Studios, where blockbuster films were shot. Explore the historic Taourirt and Ait Benhaddou Kasbahs, both UNESCO World Heritage sites, before retiring for the night in a traditional riad.

  • DAY 6: OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH

Today, we embark on the final leg of our journey, departing Ouarzazate for Marrakech via the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, an iconic fortified village steeped in history and culture.

Explore the ancient Kasbah el Glaoui and the High Atlas Berber village of Telouet, where you’ll enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before descending the Tizi n’Tichka pass to Marrakech.

Arriving in Marrakech, immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of the city, where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with modern life. Spend the night in Marrakech, reflecting on the memories of our desert odyssey and the captivating beauty of Morocco’s diverse landscapes.
